Kokomo Lady Kats Soccer VS Logansport

Lady Kats fell to Logansport 3-7 Tuesday evening. It was a tied game 3-3 at the half. The team had moments of greatness, but we have yet to be able to put together a complete game for the scoreboard to reflect our ability. The Lady Kats showed tenacity to bounce back from a 0-3 hole to tie it up at halftime. Plenty of individual efforts were made, but the Kats ran out of gas again at the end of the second half. Iris Brehm had an outstanding game, dominating in the middle. Ellen Callane fought hard up front and scored our first goal. Indiria Faison played a pivotal role on the outside and scored our second goal with excellent ball control and grit to find the back of the net. Layla Brehm's speed and passing helped create scoring opportunities for the Lady Kats. Riley Rudolph, with her strong leg and senior leadership, scored outside the 18 off a penalty when Indiria Faison was aggressively fouled. One of our team goals was to possess the ball more, which we did for a large part of the game. After giving up a quick goal in the second half, the Kats could never catch the wind and chase the berries down. The team is still showing signs of improvement, working better together and giving it their all. The Lady Kats must do it and put it all together for an entire game! We travel to Anderson this Saturday for a 1 p.m. kick-off. Let's go, Kokomo!
