The Lady Kats started the game like the confident and skilled team we know we can be. Ellen Callane scored early on a beautifully placed PK after she got aggressively fouled from behind in the box. We played tough keeping it tied 1-1 until the last 14 minutes of the game. The ladies improved so many aspects of their game tonight and fought hard. The Lady Kats just got out worked for 14 minutes and the Huskies didn't let up. The game ended 1-5. We did make a rally towards the end with shots created by aggressive play from Nancy Laughner and Lilly Taskey. Our defense fought hard the entire game, but could not hold off Huskies energetic attack. Maddie Carpenter had 20 impressive saves and lead the defense. This loss stung, but we learned a lot about our team. We are ready to get back to work and hope to have everyone off the injury list for next week.
