The lady Kats got out played by a controlled, aggressive, and possession-happy team from McCutcheon. The effort was there in the second half, but we couldn't get out of the hole we dug on the scoreboard. We can not start slowly against an experienced and disciplined team. We lost the game mentally in the first half but returned and fought with a better second half. We have some more positioning and movement issues to tweak, along with multiple starters with unexpected long-term injuries. Laikyn McDorman, Apryl Naquin, and Jackie Cuatlacuatl all earned valuable minutes. Maddie Carpenter had an impressive 11 saves in the goal. Ellen Calane and Indiria Faison, gave 110% effort on the offensive side, but it wasn't enough to get an offensive attack going. It's time for us to dig deep and do some soul-searching. We will return better and stronger to compete at Hamilton Heights on Thursday!
