Last Friday night the Kats opened up NCC play against Logansport. It was the last conference matchup between the 2 schools. Offensively we picked up where we left off in terms of time of possession and rushing yards. We gained 290 yards on the ground compared to Logansport 9 yards. We dominated the time of possession with 29:53 seconds. With these few stats the score was also lopsided and the mercy rule was put into effect 49-8. Offensively we were led by Darrian Story Jr. with 131 yards and 2 touchdowns. Sophomore Malachi Harper had 84 yards and 1 touchdown. Reis Beard was a smooth 4-6 for 45 yards and a touchdown. Defensively we held Logansport to 26 plays for 30 total yards. Our leading tacklers were Tracy Dowling with 5 and had a forced fumble, Terrion Wilson with 5 and Eli Moore with 4. I'm super proud of our defensive effort and everyone playing unselfishly. We keep the NCC train rolling this week with Muncie Central coming to town. We hope to see everyone there. Go Kats!
