Over the weekend 8 wrestlers competed in the IHSAA Peru Regional, Dorian Barbour, Waylon Mossholder and Joelle Nieto won their first match and are moving on to Semi State in Ft. Wayne. The field this year was very tough and our Kats realized the importance of having a strong showing at Sectionals. Dorian Barbour had a great day, winning his first match against a strong Peru wrestler to then upset last weeks Sectional Champion from Eastern High School to move into the finals. Dorian just fell short in the finals to a strong wrestler from Maconaquah. Waylon and Nieto both won their first matches before losing the next two for fourth place finishes. All three wrestlers are just two matches away from punching their ticket to the State Finals in Indy. As Always Go KATS Go!! Coach Bough
