Kokomo vs North Central (2 - 3) Loss Singles: Caleb Taflinger L 6-2,6-4 Andrew Guerre W 6-3,6-2 Mitch McClelland L 6-4,6-3 Doubles: Easton Douglas/Micah Taflinger W 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 Ari Leger/Harry Blake L 6-1,7-5 For the first time this year, all 5 positions played Kokomo Tennis. It was my favorite match of the year. North Central sat out a couple of their top players, but they were all juniors and seniors who play tennis year round. Caleb really never got going. Andrew had one of the best matches of his career and is gaining his strength back for a great finish to his senior year. Micah and Easton by far played the best double I have seen from a Kokomo team in the past three years. They knocked in serves and returns, came to the net, and played aggressive, smart tennis. It was a huge win for them. Ari and Harry played an awesome second set vs two seniors and have a lot to be proud of. Two years ago, we won one game in 5 matches. Tonight we won 2 matches against the defending state champs. I can't wait for labor day weekend to be over so that we can get back to some big matches to finish the year.
