Friday Night at Richmond The Kokomo Lady Kats came up just short on the road Friday night, falling to conference foe Richmond 45–41. Kokomo’s defensive pressure forced 28 turnovers, but poor shooting and being out-rebounded by 22 proved too much to overcome. The loss dropped the Lady Kats’ conference record to 1–3. Jhordyn Brown led the scoring effort with 12 points, while Satyra Scott added 11 points and 4 steals. Eliana Stewart finished with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. Akiera Huntsman contributed 7 points and 6 rebounds, and Amara Stroman chipped in 3 assists and 3 steals. Saturday vs. Carroll-Flora The Lady Kats bounced back in a big way Saturday night at home, defeating a talented Carroll-Flora team (14–5) by a score of 57–45. Kokomo’s relentless defensive pressure forced 30 turnovers and fueled 30 points in transition. Jhordyn Brown led the way with 15 points and 3 steals, while Satyra Scott added 12 points, 4 assists, and 4 steals. Eliana Stewart scored 11 points, and Akiera Huntsman filled the stat sheet with 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals. Jada Williams provided a big boost off the bench with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and strong leadership and communication. Up Next The Lady Kats (11-11) return to action Tuesday night as they host Muncie Central for Senior Night. It will be a varsity-only contest tipping off at 6:30 PM, with Senior Night festivities beginning at 6:00 PM. GO KATS. -Coach Haley Peckinpaugh
