The Kokomo Wildkat Wrestling team faced a tough challenge on the road against top-ranked Class 1A Alexandria, coming up short in a hard-fought dual. Despite the final score, the Wildkats showed flashes of what they are capable of against one of the best teams in the state, competing with intensity from the opening whistle to the final bout. Individual bright spots for Kokomo included victories from Dorian Barbour, Josh Sawyer-May, and Waylon Mossholder, each earning key wins against quality opponents. Their performances highlighted the team’s depth and resilience, proving the Wildkats can go toe-to-toe with elite competition when executing at a high level. Ultimately, the difference came down to missed opportunities, as the Kats dropped four matches that were well within reach. Battling through lingering injuries, Kokomo continues to search for consistency and health as the season progresses. With lessons learned from facing a top-ranked opponent, the Wildkats remain focused on cleaning up details and getting healthier as they prepare for the next stretch of competition. The Wildkats are back in action Tuesday at home against Northwestern. As Always Go Kats Go! Coach Bough
