The Kokomo LadyKats delivered an outstanding performance at the IHSAA Sectionals, advancing seven wrestlers to the Regional round. Competing with confidence and intensity, the LadyKats showed their growth and depth as a program, earning podium finishes across multiple weight classes and proving they are ready to compete at the next level. Leading the way were Spencer Martin and Nevaeh Wilson, who both captured sectional championships with first-place finishes. Their dominant runs through the bracket set the tone for the team and highlighted their preparation, composure, and ability to rise in high-pressure situations. Both wrestlers will enter Regionals with momentum and expectations of continued success. Strong runner-up finishes from Makyila Rubush and Addison Cline further bolstered the LadyKats’ sectional showing. Each battled through tough matches to secure second place and punch their tickets to Regionals. Their performances reflected grit and consistency, adding valuable points and reinforcing the team’s presence throughout the tournament. Rounding out the qualifiers were Ja’Layia Williams, Berklee Stump, and Stdney Sease, all earning third-place finishes. Their determination in placement matches ensured Kokomo sent a full group of seven to the IHSAA Regionals. With this successful sectional showing, the LadyKats move forward confident, motivated, and ready to continue their postseason run.
