Kokomo Athletics

It’s been a tough stretch for the Lady Kats in December and Wednesday night against Anderson was a battle till the end. Kokomo lost to conference foe Anderson to drop to 5-7 and 0-2 in the conference. Turnovers and finishing around the rim seem to be the deciding factor in the game. Defensively, the Lady Kats had too many lapses and gave up too many points in transition to pull out the win. Amara Stroman led the way for the second consecutive game. She’s playing great basketball and facilitating at a high-level. She shot 50% from 3 and had 3 steals with 12 points. Satyra Scott also added 12 points and 4 steals. Eliana Stewart added 8 points and 4 rebounds. Ziyae Tyler led the way with 7 rebounds and solid quality minutes off the bench. Kokomo is back in action Friday night at Marion in a conference showdown. The Lady Kats play at 6pm before the boys. GO KATS. -coach Haley Peckinpaugh
