The Kokomo Lady Kats fell to a strong Hamilton Heights (8–2) squad, 52–44, on Tuesday night. Kokomo struggled to find a consistent offensive rhythm, particularly finishing around the rim. The Huskies proved efficient from the perimeter, shooting 50% from three compared to Kokomo’s 21%, and also held a slight 4-rebound advantage. Despite the loss, there were bright spots for the Lady Kats. Amara Stroman had an outstanding shooting performance, going 100% from two-point range, 3-of-5 from three, and finishing with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Satyra Scott brought relentless energy, contributing 13 points and 5 rebounds. Akiera Huntsman controlled the glass with 9 rebounds, while Eliana Stewart added 5 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Taniyah Jones provided quality minutes off the bench, scoring 5 points. Kokomo won’t have much time to dwell on the loss, as they return to action Wednesday night against conference opponent Anderson at Memorial Gym. The Lady Kats will look to bounce back, get back to playing their game, and regain momentum. GO KATS. -coach Haley Peckinpaugh
