Cold Shooting Night Costs Lady Kats in 58–47 Loss to Lafayette Jeff. A tough night from the field proved costly for the Lady Kats as they fell 58–47 to a strong Lafayette Jeff squad (6–1). Kokomo took excellent care of the basketball, committing only 8 turnovers while scoring 16 points off Jeff miscues, but the advantage couldn’t overcome a 17-for-63 (27%) shooting performance. Transition defense proved to be the difference, as a few key lapses led to Lafayette Jeff runs and uncontested looks. The Bronchos capitalized, shooting 48% from the field and maintaining control throughout the second half. Kokomo was led by Eliana Stewart, who posted 13 points and 7 rebounds. Jhordyn Brown added 11 points and 6 rebounds, while Akiera Huntsman contributed 5 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 steals. Amara Stroman and Satyra Scott each added 6 points, with Scott also leading the team with 4 assists. The Lady Kats look to bounce back on Saturday as they host Culver Academies (6–3).
