The Wildkats opened the season Friday night against Leo with a thrilling 16-14 win. Our two scoring drives came on our last 2 possessions of the game in the last 8 minutes of regulation. Defensively we picked up where we left our last year holding our opponent to only 7 first downs and 163 total yards. The atmosphere was electric for week 1 and we hope to see the same support all season long. Offensively, our leading rushers were Darrian Story JR. with 24 carries for 119 yards. Reis Beard want far behind with 20 carries for 93 yards and a touchdown. He was also 5 for 6 passing for 129 yards and 1 TD. Eric Thomas had our biggest party of the night with 1 catch for 79 yards and our first touchdown of the year. Defensively, we were led by Tracy Dowling. He tallied 6 tackles 2.5 for a loss, a fumble recovery, and 1.5 sacks. Beard was 2nd on the team in tackles with 5 and 3 off which were for a loss.
