Match #2 - Saturday, August 19, 2023 vs Muncie Central Bearcats Bounce Wildkats, Come From Behind for 3-2 Victory The Kokomo Wildkats Men’s Soccer team opened 2023 conference season play by hosting the Muncie Central Bearcats and dropped a 3-2 decision to the visitors. The Wildkats conceded in the eighth minute of play off of Muncie Central’s counter attack. The Wildkats responded when Sr. forward Flory Bidunga notched his first goal of the season by dribbling past two defenders on the left side of the penalty area. Moments later, Bidunga penetrated the left flank and passed to Jr. midfielder Javier Carrera who was tackled from behind in the box. Carrera finished his penalty kick, giving the Kats a 2-1 halftime lead. After the break, the Wildkats conceded two goals, one on the counter, and one on a failed clearance off of a Bearcat corner kick. The Man of the Match is Flory Bidunga. The Wildkats (0-2-0, 0-1-0) will have to regroup as they play Harrison, Northwestern, and Oak Hill this week.
