Girls Soccer vs. Oak Hill

The Lady Kats held Oak Hill to a 0-0 Draw Wednesday night. We are super proud of our team as we are still learning to play together and faced a disciplined team from Ok Hill. 0-0 doesn’t mean that we didn’t have the opportunities to score. We had some quality opportunities, but we couldn’t get the ball in the net this time. We have to give credit to their back line and goalie for keeping our shutout streak alive. Maddy Carpenter’s experience and skills shined bright with 17 saves to help keep the clean sheet. Darriuna Kirby, Lyrik Barbour, and Nancy Laughner led the back line with additional efforts all around. Lillian Taskey left it all on the field again by having to play multiple positions and playing wherever she was needed. Neveah Wilson came off the bench with outstanding aggressive play and effort. As a whole, our team gave 100% effort, played with grit, and played to the final whistle without giving up. We are very excited to get back to work to improve our game together and come back stronger than ever. We will be back on the pitch Saturday morning for our first JV game followed by Varsity against Lafayette Harrison. Let’s Go Lady Kats! - Coach Elizabeth Rayl
